Certificate of Title and Title Previews

Relab gives you quick access to property ownership details, easements, covenants, and mortgages directly from the Property Details panel. Use the Titles tab for the full title record, and the Title & Ownership section for a quick summary.

Ordering a Certificate of Title requires payment. Pro members pay $12 incl. GST; free users pay $19 incl. GST.

Where to find title information

  • Subject Property tab, Title & Ownership section — a summary of the ownership, property category, legal description, land title (for example, Freehold and the date the title was issued), valuation reference and land estate.

  • Titles tab — the full title record or records for the property, including the title identifier, issue date, prior title, land area, legal description, estate type, estate share and current owners. This is also where you open the Preview Title and Title Transaction Report.

  • History — choose Title Records to see title transactions, such as transfers of a share or interest, alongside the property's other history.

Preview Title Information

  1. In the Property Details panel, click the Titles tab.

  2. On the title record, click the teal Preview Title button. You can also click Title Overview next to the land title on the property summary card at the top of the panel.

  3. Review the key information from the Certificate of Title, including the identifier, date issued, prior references, estate, area, legal description and registered owners.

  4. Click Copy, Print or PDF to copy, print or save the preview.

  1. In the Property Details panel, scroll to Title & Ownership on the Subject Property tab to see the legal description. Use the copy icon beside it to copy it.

  2. For more detail, open the Titles tab. The title record shows the legal description alongside the estate type, estate share and land area.

Access the Title Transaction Report

  1. In the Property Details panel, click the Titles tab.

  2. Click the teal Title Transaction Report button at the bottom of the title record.

  3. Review the full title history, including all current and historical memorials, estates, registered owners, and prior titles.

Order Title Documents

  1. Open the Property Details panel and click the teal Order Title button at the top.

  2. Select the documents you need:

    • Certificate of Title with Diagram

    • Mortgage Details

    • Fencing Agreements

    • Other available documents

  3. Click Continue with Payment.

  4. Enter your billing information and confirm your order.

Your documents will be delivered via email and will also be available in your document centre.

You can select and order all the documents you need in one go - just tick the boxes for each document before proceeding to payment.

❓ FAQs

Where did the Title Preview link in Title & Ownership go?

Title information is now on the Titles tab. Click Preview Title on the title record, or Title Overview on the property summary card at the top of the panel. The Title & Ownership section on the Subject Property tab now shows a summary only.

Where is the Title Transaction Report?

On the Titles tab, at the bottom of the title record.

How much does it cost to order a title?

Pro members pay $12 incl. GST. Free users pay $19 incl. GST.

How long does it take for titles to arrive once ordered?

Once you place your order, your documents will be sent via email and made available in your document centre shortly after.

How often is title preview updated?

Title preview information is usually updated once per week, in sync with the NZ Property Titles data on LINZ Data Service.
