Look after your CMA templates: levels, Quick Edit and updates
Templates control how every CMA in your branch looks. Most manager work is light: troubleshooting, small edits and keeping shared pages current.
How the template levels fit together
Templates cascade from the brand down to the client document. Each level starts from the one above and adds its own changes.
Brand — applied by Relab so that large brands have a template in Relab. It isn't accessible to any user, including managers.
Franchise Templates — visible to every agent in the franchise (a group of branches).
Branch Templates — visible to every agent in the branch. Save your master template here.
My Templates — an agent's own saved version. You can also save directly into an agent's account.
Client CMA — the final document an agent produces for a vendor.
You work with the templates of the branches you are assigned to.
Open the template editor
Template editing runs through the same menu as creating an appraisal.
Click the waffle icon and select CMA.
Enter any property address. You are editing the template, not producing a real appraisal.
Skip the comparables, or add a couple to preview a realistic layout.
Click Templates in the left navigation to choose a template category.
Know your page types
Customisable pages show a Page Builder button. You can edit these.
Data pages fill automatically from the property and comparables. Layout changes need Relab's help.
PDF pages are uploaded files. Replace them when the content changes.
Control what agents can change
Quick Edit decides which elements an agent can change in their own CMA without opening the Page Builder. Editable elements are marked with a blue box on the front end.
Open the page in the Page Builder and select the element, such as a text box or an image.
In the right-hand panel, find the Quick Edit tick box.
Tick it to let agents edit the element. Untick it to lock the element.
Lock logos, banners and header images. The most common fix you will make is when an agent says a box won't let them edit it. Open the Page Builder, select that element and turn Quick Edit on.
Update a template safely
Make your changes and click Save as New Template.
Choose where to save it: franchise, branch or a branch member.
Archive the old version instead of deleting it.
Saving always creates a new template. It never overwrites an existing one.
When an agent saves a branch template as their own, it becomes a separate copy. If you later update the branch template, for example a monthly market stats page, the change does not reach the agent's saved copy. To get an updated page to an agent you can:
Export the updated pages as a PDF and ask agents to update those pages in their own template, or
Use Load by Branch Member to update the page in their template yourself, and save it as a new template.

❓ FAQs
Why can't I open the Page Builder on some pages?
Those are data pages. Contact support@relab.co.nz if you need a layout change.
Will saving to an agent's account overwrite their template?
No. It creates a new template in their My Templates. Archive the old one if it is no longer needed.
Can I see the brand-level template?
No. The brand-level template is applied by Relab and isn't accessible to any user, including managers.
